Plate-making drafts can also be called black-and-white drafts, color separation drafts, and plate-making negatives. Its main function is to make a photosensitive printing pattern. Therefore, the draft must be drawn on a light-transmitting substrate, and the image is an opaque ink layer (black or red), the light-transmitting property of the substrate and the shading of the ink layer Density is a key indicator that determines the quality of the plate-making manuscript. The image formation of the plate-making manuscript mainly adopts manual drawing, manual or mechanical engraving, photosensitive copy, laser phototypesetting, printer printing and other production methods. 

T-shirt design color separation methods are mainly divided into two categories: spot color separation and primary color separation.

T-shirt design spot color separation refers to the use of any specially formulated color as a single printing color, and several such spot colors are processed by color printing to form a color image. We usually talk about five-color printing and twelve-color printing, which means that five spot colors or twelve spot colors are sequentially printed to form color image printing products. However, the number of spot colors is not equal to the number of colors in the image, because spot colors can also be overprinted, so five spot colors can also be printed with six sets or even seven colors and eight colors. Spot color printing is mainly used for color block printing, and its reflection on the natural scene can only be simulated rather than restored, which is the biggest difference from primary color printing. However, with the development of screen printing technology and the development of new inks, spot color screen printing has emerged in recent years, especially in T-shirt printing, the latest international T-shirt pattern and the most advanced T-shirt printing technology. It is not the primary color printing but the spot color screen printing, that is, the multi-color spot color screen printing is performed on the color, especially the black T-shirt.

The color separation plate-making draft is used to make the corresponding color separation screen printing plate by sensitization.

Its quality requirements are firstly that the substrate has good light transmission performance, secondly, the image shading density is high, and thirdly, the registration accuracy between the color separation films must be accurate, and the edges of the image lines are clean and tidy, and the dots are full and clear.

(1) The positioning of multi-color separations is generally based on the crosshairs, but it is often easy to put the separations upside down during the printing process, or the front and back are wrong, or the graphics are upside down. We use the left and right. The method of right oblique hits the positioning cross line, that is, the left side is +, and the right side is x, so that errors are eliminated.

(2) Since red tear film is more expensive and not easy to buy, red self-adhesive paper can be used instead. As long as the red self-adhesive is only pasted on the PVC film (covered on the original or line draft), it can be carved with a cutter. Since the light transmittance of red self-adhesive paper is far less than that of red tear film, the light of the light drawing table should be brighter. In this way, the price is low, the shading effect is good, and the lines are smooth, not afraid of wetness, and even better, it is easy to modify-just remove and re-engrave, and red torn touch cannot be re-engraved, ink painting Only minor modifications can be made.

(3) If the patterns of the two printing color plates are not connected or overprinted, you can consider drawing the two color drafts on a film, and print two plates when printing, A plate is closed with B pattern, and B is closed A pattern. You can even print a plate, add a ribbon between AB patterns, and use one plate to print two colors at the same time.

Manual drafting is the most basic traditional method, mainly hand-drawn drafts and hand-carved drafts.

Manual drafting tools mainly include: light drawing table (OA table), drawing ink pen, drawing compass, set square, curve board, paper knife, steel ruler, drawing PVC film, PCV film drawing ink, red tear film, red Self-adhesive paper, etc.

T-shirt design manual drafting, first of all, there must be a light drawing table, the light source is usually fluorescent lamp, if you use incandescent lamp, you should use frosted glass or paste a layer of copy paper under the glass, so that the light is softer and does not hurt your eyes. If tracing is required at home or in a temporary place, the emergency method is to put the square stool on the ground, put a piece of glass on the legs of the four stools, and put a lamp underneath, and it can be used.
